Health and Safety issues

With quotes for "man with a van" Hire, essentially a collection & delivery service as opposed to a full Removals service, it is necessary by law to highlight a few things concerning health and safety regulations (H & S), Insurance Company restrictions and the welfare of our staff in order to avoid possible misunderstandings (sorry it looks so formal but it has to be these days!).

These are the things in particular that we do not do / are not allowed to do.

1) Modify, disconnect or attach electrical items unless a Part P Qualified electrician is present.
2) Modify, disconnect or attach Gas items unless a Corgi Registered plumber is present.
3) Collect or deliver hazardous waste materials or remove discarded packaging.
4) Carry or transfer Glass or glass items unless properly protected or packaged.
5) Disassemble or re-assemble furniture, i.e. beds, flat pack units etc. unless previously agreed and quoted for.
6) Collect or deliver above the ground or first floors without an elevator (lift) unless previously agreed. (extra men are normally needed for this)

You will find our teams to be very hard working, helpful and as flexible as possible, (see our customers comments here) however Health & Safety regulations and insurance companies are very strict about things!

We can arrange/quote for all of the above, including numbers 5 & 6 (which is really a matter of more time or removals men being needed) if and where necessary.  If for example you would like things brought out of an attic or a 2nd/3rd floor this could be done the previous day.

We also offer a packing and unpacking service.
